The OCONUS Law Firm specializes in one mission:
To exclusively serve US Federal Civilians and Contractors assigned Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS)
Unlike generic firms, we know the unique labor and employment laws that apply to OCONUS feds because we shared the same foxholes.
All our lawyers are former federal labor attorneys who spent years OCONUS advising employees, GS-15 supervisors and General Officer commanders. We know how your OCONUS leadership thinks because they came to us to solve all their legal problems.
Now we want to use our insider expertise to serve you.
We exclusively represent federal employees and contractors stationed overseas. No matter which federal agency or OCONUS post, we got you covered.
"Honest, fair, and tough. Brandon is the lawyer you need in your corner."
M.L., GS-15 (retired O-6) in EUCOM theater
"Betty came highly recommended and still exceeded all my expectations.
- C.C., GS-14 (retired E-9) in PACOM theater
"Brandon epitomizes the legal warrior. He asks the right questions and gets real results."
G.H., NF-04 in PACOM theater
Barred or restricted from your installation, denied overseas benefits or allowances, or being sent home early? There are limitless unique ways a supervisor can penalize you and your family when you're OCONUS. We know how to deal with these special overseas issues because we've handled hundreds of them first hand. No other law firm can match this level of expertise.
Target of an investigation or ordered to provide a sworn statement? First rule to remember: investigators are not on your side, but we are.
Investigations often foreshadow adverse actions against employees and can cover everything from gross mismanagement to the vague conduct unbecoming a federal employee. We know being a part of an investigation is extremely stressful because we've been dealing with them for over 15 years. And, we can ensure you're treated with dignity and legally protected through this incredibly challenging time.
Receive a Letter of Concern, Reprimand, or Suspension? Feel like your boss is trying to build a case against you? We've dealt with hundreds of disciplinary actions and know what managers require and often don't have.
We can intervene before your supervisor imposes discipline. Or, if you already received discipline, we can appeal your case to the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB), the outside agency responsible for all federal employee discipline. We protect OCONUS personnel like you and will keep pushing until you get results.
Didn't get the promotion or feel like your team or supervisors treats you differently due to your Race, Gender, National Origin, Age, Religion, Sexual Orientation, or Disability?
Discrimination still exist in today's federal workplace and often goes undetected because we're taught to deal with challenging environments by "embracing the suck." But if you feel you're being unfairly treated, it's time to call a lawyer. We can stop this illegal treatment now, and not just for you but for all future victims.
Target of offensive comments, slurs, sexual harrassment, or unwelcome physical contact? Do you have a toxic manager who abuses their position or is retaliating against you? We know exactly how to deal with these problems and what motivates OCONUS leadership to fix these issues now, not later.
Plan on notifying higher of an illegal workplace issue but worried that blowing the whistle may impact your career? Or are you being treated negatively since filing a complaint, testifying, or writing a sworn statement? We can protect you and make sure your complaint is taken seriously by both your agency and, potentially, the Office of Special Counsel (OSC). And we'll ensure that your chain of command knows unlawful retaliation will not be tolerated.

Yes. As OCONUS legal experts, we cover all overseas Federal Civilians and Contractors on every pay schedule (e.g., GS, NF, FS, GL, EX, etc.). So whether you're in Europe with the DOD or in Asia with USAID, the OCONUS Law Firm has your back.
You're in luck. Our law firm has Top Secret - Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance. Just because you work in a SCIF and e-mails, personnel files, and contacts may be hard for other law firms to access, doesn't mean you're on your own. We work in SCIF and sensitive environments and know OCONUS employees still deserve fair treatment and equal protection under the law.
The short answer is immediately. The earlier a lawyer can intervene and get the right people spun up on your issue, the more likely you'll be successful. In the legal world, everything has a hard deadline and the clock is always ticking - and not knowing of the deadlines is not an excuse. Miss a deadline and your issue is KIA regardless of how meritorious.
Yes, but like most things in life: we get what we pay for.
Hire with the cheapest plumber and you'll be lucky if they return your calls. Lawyers are the same. Choose the right attorney and you'll feel your burden lightened immediately now and in the long run. Don't risk your career on a bargain; you want a premium legal fighter in your corner.
Yes, we know OCONUS personnel are mature, intelligent, and can get the job done. But take it from our insider experience: expect to be ignored.
Without a lawyer, your supervisors will assume they have all the power. Raise an unpopular issue with them and it's common for Agencies to make your life worse for "not being a team player." But with a lawyer in your fight, the alarm bells up and down your chain of command will go off and your issue and treatment will be priority #1.
First, we understand. Facing legal issues while overseas is both frustrating and lonely. We know because we've been OCONUS for over a dozen years, have handled hundreds of cases like yours, and know exactly how to help. No other firm matches our exclusivity to OCONUS personnel and our boots-on-the-ground expertise.
Second, we fight. By accepting only a small number of clients, we can concentrate on your case, create a personalized strategy, and attack your issue head on. Here, you are not just a client; you are the sole reason we exist. Your success is our top priority.
